Name: Banri
DOB: July 25th, 1984.
Age: 24
Race: Demon
Weapon: His fists and his infamous habit of running away when things get too tough for him.
Appearance: Messy, somewhat spiked blond hair occupies his head and just above his slanted moss green eyes rests a pair of shaven, yes shaven, eyebrows. Two inches over the corner of his left brow, however, resides his demon birthmark - a dual red swirl of sorts. Slender and somewhat bony with a bit of a tan, Banri stands at six feet even without his boots and six feet, two inches with them. This demon prefers to wear dark colors to blend in with the shadows of the alley you’ll more than likely find him slinking about. Aside from these noticeable features, he wears a gold chain around his neck, but the trinket is usually hidden behind the collar and flaps of a hooded trench coat. And, if the coat isn’t enough to conceal his suspicious figure, then the silver-framed shades he often sports will do the trick.
Personality: Banri, in short, is a sleaze-ball. Loud, obnoxious, and bias towards matters regarding the coexistence of demons and humans, he isn’t afraid to speak his mind at all. When it’s convenient to him he’ll be your very best friend and in the very next second he’ll leave you hanging without a second thought. He has both a short temper and gift for weaseling his way out of death on a daily basis.
Personal History: The result of a one-night stand between two demons, Banri, whose last name is unknown, has always more or less been on his own. At a young age he was accepted into one of the larger gang organizations and from there he progressively learned the ropes after a few good beatings from the older, more experienced of the pack. When he was 19 he happened to find a ‘stray kitten’ upon passing an alley. Now, this particular ‘stray kitten’ was quite the fighter, and Banri realized that he would make a great addition to his team. The kitten, Sha Gojyo, accepted his proposal and, in a manner of speaking, he was taken under the demon’s wing.
Two years later Banri left Gojyo and went about doing his own thing, which involved trying to keep himself alive while sticking to his gambling and gangster ways. When his ‘fun’ had run out, he returned only to find that his half-breed companion had taken in a stray of his own: Cho Hakkai. Naturally this man was far too proper for Banri’s taste, and the demon really didn’t show much interest in him until the two had a discussion late one night. The little conversation violently evolved into something much greater and resulted with Banri trying to assault Hakkai who, not surprisingly, managed to overpower him with a single skilled movement.
Before he left the small town again, Banri managed to get himself in trouble yet again. As a cheap trick of getting himself out of the mess, he begged for his capturers to retrieve Gojyo to take his place while he supposedly went out and atoned for his stealing from the gang. However, once Gojyo took his place Banri left the town and took to somewhere else where he would continue his reckless way of living.
Job: Gangster [yo].
Strengths/Weaknesses: Banri is manipulative and easily able to smooth talk himself out of any sticky situation he gets himself in. On the other hand, his weakness consists of a short temper, which generally gets the better of him most of the time.
